Review for French Bulldog Rescue Network a Nonprofit Corporation, Rockaway, NJ, USA
My husband and I wanted a French Bulldog for a long time. But adopting a rescue pup was always how we imagined we'd find our pet(s). Fortunately we found FBRN. Through FBRN, we have now adopted three (3) wonderful Frenchie family members. French Bulldogs are not an ordinary breed and take some extra care. In each of our adoption processes, the volunteer staff have taken a lot of time to vet our applications. They will take alot of time to inform you about the dog you have applied for, inform you about the breed in general and discuss with you the necessary care of a French Bulldog and answer any and all questions you have. When you are lucky enough to be chosen as a forever-family to one of their Frenchies, you can be rest assured that your 'grad' has been well cared for, rehabilitated, trained and/or brought back to a healthy, vibrant pup. Beyond the adoption, the foster families, the organization's leadership members and tireless volunteers have been essentially at our beck and call to answer any questions, provide advice and give support. Everyone on their staff is extremely knowledgeable and truly dedicated to their mission. We feel blessed to have discovered this organization. They have given us 3 wonderful family members. And as a Frenchie adopter, they have been a wealth of information and continued support. Their donation/fee for each dog is nominal in comparison to what a breeder will charge you. And in return, you are not only given a vetted, healthy and well-cared for pet companion but an entire network of folks who are ready to offer you their support. I am amazed they are able to keep doing the work they do. They are an amazing non-profit to work with.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
There really isn't anything I would change except to give them more money. Since the breed has recently become very trendy and more and more are surrendered or abandoned because their owners don't understand the breed. I would try to find a way to infuse more funding into the organization. They provide such a vital service to this breed. They need more financial support to help them help foster and care for more Frenchies and also to get their name out there.
