Review for WhyHunger, New York, NY, USA
World Hunger Year and the Harry Chapin grants helped funded our gardening projects that have brought self-reliance to hundreds of people in Applachia Ohio. WHY is a great organization that really supports groups working at the grass roots level. The folks working at WHY have a huge heart for helping those who are hungry and in need. Thank you WHY for your support. Ronda Clark, Community Food Initiatives, Athens, Ohio

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
2007 when WHY granted us money to expand our gardening programming.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
give them more money.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
their clarity and focus on the goal to end hunger.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
very passionate about stopping hunger and supportive of our organization.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
support more grass roots organizations and stamp out hunger and poverty.
Ways to make it better...
I had more money donated to our organization but otherwise it was a wonderful experience.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
overcoming the popular cultures obsession with eating the Wester diet that gives people food with no nutrients and is full of fats, sugars and oils.
One thing I'd also say is that...
they are doing a great job.
