Review for Compass Family Services, San Francisco, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I was a client in the transitional program of COMPASS. My family survived here in San Francisco because of the help and support of COMPASS Community Services. The staff was very supportive, very patient and understood my situation. COMPASS supported me financially and materially. I received school supplies and guidance during my trainings. Compass staff especially the Transitional Program helped me turn my life around. Today I am self sufficient because of the assistance of COMPASS. Thank you so much COMPASS!!!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

2004 when I graduated from Clara House and moved to a permanent housing with my family.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

Among all the assistance of Clara House staff, The Education Coordinator also helped me with the school registration process, supported me throughout my training, and was present on my graduation day.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

helpful and patient. They provided non judgmental services to every client without any discrimination; moreover the staff and volunteers were culturally competent this is the most reason why COMPASS has more clients than any other program in San Francisco

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

help support more families in COMPASS shelter and in its Transitional Program. It could help more families in PPP getting in the permanent house by paying their deposit. It could help serve more Connecting Point clients by providing them with more food, diapers, clothing, tokens, and personal hygiene because they are homeless. It could help the TLC by registering more homeless students in the childcare for free.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2009

Role:  Client Served & I lived in COMPAS Transitional Program, “Clara House” for two years.
