Review for Sahar Education, Seattle, WA, USA
Ayni Education international supports girls education in Afghanistan by engaging local communities in Seattle and in Afghanistan. They are culturally aware and realistic about the situation in Afghanistan. All the money is dedicated toward serving the needs of the girls in Afghanistan. They build computer centers, schools, and teacher training centers in north eastern Afghanistan. They have impacted the lives of thousands of students. This is remarkable because they are such a small organization.
Working as a volunteer intern enabled me to truly contribute to the process. I was able to help with fundraising and spreading the news about Ayni's work in Afghanistan. I feel a deep connection to the women in Afghanistan after working for this organization. I continue to help out the organization however I can even though I no longer live in Seattle.
