The mission and vision are SELF/Swamahiman have been well summarised by other reviewer. I am both a "client" (inititate of Kriya yoga) and a donor (making regular financial donations) but given my distance from SELF (I am based in Singapore) being a volunteer is difficult.
As a seeker of truth I am familiar with many noble spiritual oranizations. Having found SELF and Swami Vidyadhishananda I feel I have found what have spent three decades looking for - a true guru who preserves the ancient spiritual treasures of India and teaches these to sincere seekers (the devotees are a truly global family). This oganization provides the most valuable of services to mankind - spreading wisdom, self knowledge, peace, and a spirit of selfless service. SELF does not aggressively push its message or aggressively pursue donations. All who interact with SELF quickly realise its true value and give generously.

I would urge anyone looking to make charitable contributions to a worthy course to consider SELF. These uniformly outstanding reviews are a testament to the extrodinary nature of the organisation, its spritual leader, and its purpose. Gob Bless.
