Review for Huffman House, Inc., , ,
Huffman House is a wonderful food bank that is currently small in size but is enormous in heart. They help not only people in need in Gwinnett Co. but anyone in the Atlanta Metro area who contacts them. Huffman House does not judge or exclude anyone based on their race, sexual orientation or spiritual path.
I have met some great volunteers at the warehouse, some of whom are clients as well. One of my favorite activities there is making Food for Friends packets. These are oversized ziplocs with protein, fruit, fiber, bottled water and other things that we think someone who's hungry might appreciate. There's also a message of love and hope in the packet. I always have a couple packets in my car so that I can share them with someone that I meet on the street that's in need. Please volunteer your time & treasure to Huffman House. You'll so enjoy the experience!
