Review for Greyhound Adoption Center, La Mesa, CA, USA
I have done volunteer work with animal rescue groups for many years. GAC is the most outstanding organization I have ever been involved with. I find that the guiding principles and mission statement of this non-kill group resonant completely with my own values and beliefs. The extraordinary care and love that is given to each and every Greyhound is truly amazing. No matter what the win/loss record of the particular Grey may have been at the track -- there are no losers at GAC! Time is taken to get to know and appreciate the unique qualities of each and every Grey that comes to GAC. Loving attention is given to each dog while the search for the just right "forever home" is found for them. It doesn't matter how long this process might take ... no Grey is ever given up on until the right match is found. I believe so much in GAC that it is a blessing and honor to be able to spend so much time each week caring for these wonderful dogs! The dedication and commitment of all individuals connected to GAC is beyond description. I am so very fortunate to have found this life changing rescue group to be a part of.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I believe so strongly in the principles that this organization is founded upon and run that there are no changes that I feel are necessary. I have been involved with GAC on numerous levels of volunteer work, and have found that the solid core values are present in every project, endeavor, and undertaking. I would, of course, love to see more money made available to GAC so that the rescue of these magnificent Greyhounds could flourish even more.
