Review for Cornerstone Counseling Center, Hickory, NC, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Time and again, I am impressed by Cornerstone Counseling Center. The staff they employ as counselors are professional, knowledgeable, and competent in their respective fields. They serve a great need in the Catawba Valley area and are highly respected in the community. The institute offers ongoing seminars for both professionals as well as lay people in the mental health field. I have attended various conferences and have found them very helpful and insightful. Cornerstone Christian Academy is also a tremendous asset to the students and families they serve. The school meets the needs of children who have learning differences but also the ability to achieve and learn in a smaller environment with more individual attention. Additionally, tutoring is offered to students who attend other schools but need one on one assistance in particular subjects. I cannot say enough about what Cornerstone Counseling Center means to the Hickory area and to me personally. CCA is appropriately named, for it has become a Cornerstone of this community.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

I can think of no changes I would make. I would encourage donations by community members so that the organization can increase their capacity to serve more clients and more students who would otherwise struggle to pay for the services. Cornerstone is most gracious in serving these clients and in granting scholarships and financial assistance to many families and individuals. However, the more the community supports this organization, the more they can support those in need.
