Review for Society of St. Andrew, Big Island, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I've only volunteered twice, but both times were great! I heard about Society of St. Andrew in my nutrition book, which I had to write a summary about. I thought I would try it out because it seemed like a very good organization. There is so much food that goes to waste, so what a great way to put it to use and help those in need. I think that Bernard the coordinator is friendly, and made me feel welcome. I like that we get emails on up coming events so we can decide if we are available. I also think it is great that a follow up email is sent with the total number of pounds picked.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

is meeting new people who share the same goal, which is to help people.

Ways to make it better...

The communication been a littler better starting out. I expressed my interest via email and it took weeks to get more info. It also took a long time in to get a response between emails. I was also stood up my meeting with the director(not Bernard).

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?
