Review for GRACE, Grapevine, TX, USA
For more than 26 years, GRACE has served the Northeast Tarrant County to help neighbors in crises. “We began as a network of churches helping a population of only 16,000,” said GRACE Executive Director Shonda Schaefer. It was a humble beginning that grew to an organization now covering the cities of Colleyville, Grapevine and Southlake as well as the surrounding communities in Northeast Tarrant County, a population of more than 110,000.
With its mission grounded in faith, GRACE continues to help clients with programming leading to self-sufficiency. GRACE has a community health clinic, a client choice food pantry, transitional housing, financial assistance and training that leads to its clients becoming self sufficient once again.
This agency has the highest 4-Star Exceptional Rating via Charity Navigator; Silver Star rating from Guidestar.com, and Exceptional rating from the Better Business Bureau. They boast and incredible 83% expense to program ratio.
