Review for Starlight Community Theater, Phoenix, AZ, USA
As a parent and a teacher, I have been thoroughly impressed at what this organization has done for children! This organization provides a safe place for children to be themselves and express themselves. They are able to come alive and be a part of a family that accepts them wholeheartedly. When I adopted my nephew for the year, our first thought was to get him involved in sports. However, he came to us with no background in sports of any kind. He could barely throw the ball, better yet catch it. A friend suggested we try putting him in a play through Starlight. Well, it turned out to be the best thing for him. Not only did it completely change his life to give him confidence, acceptance, and friends but it preoccupied him from missing his parents. He has continued to participate in three plays and is currently in one now. His face lights up anytime his "acting" career is discussed! We've never seen him so alive than when he's involved in the play productions. We are eternally grateful for this incredible organization.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Raise money for scholarships to those children that want to join but cannot afford it. I'd also have a small "kitty" of funds that would allow the actor's peers to see their play's even when they cannot afford it. I feel that no one should have to miss out from this experience!
