Review for Wolf Conservation Center Inc, South Salem, NY, USA
I've been a volunteer with WCC for five years. Its missions are to educate people as to the critical function wolves perform in the ecosystem, and to participate in the Species Survival Plan by housing two species of critically endangered wolves. It's an amazing place. The programs allow guests to learn about these magnificent creatures and their history in the US, and then visit its ambassador wolves to see them in their habitat. Atka, the WCC's "rock star" white wolf, also travels to make appearances at schools and events. The WCC's group of (just a few) employees and many volunteers share a tremendous dedication to educating their guests and ensuring a wonderful and informative experience. A unique and fascinating place right in Westchester NY!
