Review for Self Enquiry Life Fellowship, Penn Valley, CA, USA
I first met His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda Giri at a discourse in Mayo Clinic on 'Approaching the Conscious Entity through Supra-mental Observation.’ I was amazed at how His Holiness explained different states of consciousness, subtle worlds and the state of Samadhi with great ease. Only a master who has directly experienced these states can share this vast wisdom with so much depth and compassion. I attended all his discourses during that time and with each successive discourse, I felt a sense of peace. I realized I was not feeling restless anymore with the questions about life and the Self. I was finally getting answers and that was very peaceful. I approached Him and was overwhelmed with gratitude when He accepted me as his disciple and eventually initiated me into one of the meditation paths.
I chose to volunteer for the cause of Self Enquiry Life Fellowship. Becoming a volunteer has not only exposed me to the sacred Sanskrit traditions and ancient Vedic teachings but, has shown me how these traditions and teachings can still be applied to daily life today in achieving success and fulfillment. Under the guidance of the profound wisdom of a true master like Swami and the implicit application of the principles of mindfulness, compassion and devotion by each participant, the organization offers exquisite quality services in the form of publications, retreats and fellowships.
It gives me great fulfillment in serving for the cause of preserving and disseminating the ancient Vedic and Sanskrit teachings, the wisdom of which will guide current and future generations to live glorious lives.
