Review for Childrens Health Council Inc, Palo Alto, CA, USA
Our son enrolled in Sand Hill School at the Childrens' Health Council over 2-1/2 years ago, and it has been a fantastic experience for him and us. He has challenges with learning and social skills and had gone through two schools in the prior 18 months that weren't able to meet his needs. Sand Hill's specialized curriculum, small class sizes and excellent teachers have enabled him to make huge progress and to enjoy school again. Sand Hill School does a fantastic job of meeting the unique needs of K-5 children that struggle with a challenging combination of academic and social issues that aren't addressed by either mainstream schools or specialized schools that are designed to address specific issues such as dyslexia.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
Continue to expand the Sand Hill School curriculum to provide as much of the breath of experience of a mainstream school (electives, etc.) while maintaining the depth of focus on academics and social-emotional learning.
