Review for Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force Inc, Larchmont, NY, USA
I work every other Tuesday for the Larchmont-Mamaroneck Hunger Task Force. We feed about 400 families from our community. I look forward every Tuesday morning to "the call", telling me what time the truck will arrive with groceries for distribution. For about 2-3 hours we unload the truck, sort out the distribution line, begin the process of making bags and getting things set for the evening shift that assembles the bags and gives them to our clients. I know I am helping people in real need. I like the comradery of our work.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...
seeing the ever increasing number of clients we are feeding. Additionally, our donations have increased significantly with the economic downturn, further proving how extraordinary our community is.
What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
feeling good about how I'm using my free time by helping others in need.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
committed, friendly, varied-old, young, working, non-working-energetic.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
re-located to a larger facility where we could store more and buy in bulk to save more. We'd buy more proteins for the clients-meats, fish-
