I adore IndyKids. The team they have in place is wonderful - supportive to the kid reporters, knowledgeable, and just all around nice. My child has been participating with them for a year, and I only wish we had found out about it sooner, before we reach the max age cut off. The kids learn about the editorial planning process, how to outline, how to interview, how to write. Then they actually bundle the papers when they are printed, which is really pretty cool too. I hope that IndyKids has a lot more success, especially as we enter the post-Internet age of journalism. We need good, objective, smart, dedicated journalists.
