I remember growing up and seeing the expressway occupy that space and now as a young woman working in the city to see the transformation has been breath-taking. For years I had known the space existed but never ventured down until recently. Walking through for the first time, it was so exciting to see the space up close. Near South Station is the beautiful garden, flowers and pathway and as you make your way toward the Aquarium is this great green space that is alive. People sitting having lunch, food trucks, tables and chairs children playing in the small water park - it is such a little oasis that I look forward to walking over to once weather warms up.
