My Nonprofit Reviews

Review for IndyKids, New York, NY, USA
As a former journalist, I wish I had had IndyKids to write for when I was in school. Somehow editing my high school newspaper just wasn't the same. IndyKids is the only nonprofit newspaper focused on social justice, current events, and science written by, for and about 4th-8th graders and bilingual high school students. It fills an enormous gap because it is not influenced by the corporate media or advertising. Instead, kids who care about real issues get the chance to report on them to their peers with gentle editing help from adult mentors. In a world full of challenges and corruption due to corporate shenanigans, IndyKids shines a bright beacon for equity and the next generation. We plan to be annual donors to IndyKids because the mission is so important for a better world.
