Review for Self Enquiry Life Fellowship, Penn Valley, CA, USA
Soon after I finished reading Auto Biography of Yogi by Pramahansa Yogananda, I began my search for a master or a guru who would accept me as His disciple and teach me Kriya Yoga in it’s original and purest form without compromising the ancient traditions and values taught by the original masters. To my utter surprise or pure good fortune my search ended in the presence of His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda Giri of Self Enquiry Life Fellowship in USA!!! Wow, how fortunate am I to find such a master in the west? I came for the teachings and methods from an authentic master and I thought I would take the knowledge and depart into my private life of practice and self-realisation.
Little did I know that His Holiness Swami Vidyadhishananda Giri and a council of Vedic Himalayan monks have dedicated their lives to revive, preserve and disseminate the ancient wisdom in the west under the banner of Self Enquiry Life Fellowship or Swamahiman (Sanskrit name). It took me by surprise and was wondering how and what way does this ancient wisdom help others or me? In the process of educating myself about the mission and vision of Swamahiman, I became aware – a life of self-enquiry is private but it also means a selfless service to all. Swamahiman has offered me the purest and the most authentic platform to exercise the opportunity to serve my fellow citizens of this earth. Participation in Swamahiman projects and services has created a way of life that is mindful and fully integrated with all aspects of my daily existence and how I connect with the community around me. Harmony, Balance and Mindfulness – are the three key terms that come into my mind when participating in various service projects related to Swamahiman mission and vision. Harmony with our environment, mindfulness of all the life and resources around us (being good stewards of our planet and the environment) and balance of life while promoting human excellence based upon ancient wisdom. I wish everyone took time to educate oneself and to realize the unique mission and vision of the Swamahiman and how it is being executed so transparently and with highest of ethics. In my heart, I believe mission and vision of Swamahiman is rather unique and rare.
Anyone in search of meaningful and fulfilling life with harmony, balance and mindful existence should avail the opportunity to visit the Self Enquiry Life Fellowship website to educate and experience themselves regarding the Organization through their own self-enquiry. I am very grateful I did.
