For over a decade, I have been a donor, volunteer, and board member of A Call to College. I am passionate about this organization because of the way that they impact the future for students of Newark City Schools. By providing information, motivation, and monetary support more students choose to continue their education after high school. We support that goal in whatever way works for that particular student. Whether they desire a certificate, associate's degree, or a bachelor's degree, we have the expertise to help the student on their path.

I can see A Call to College changing lives for the students of Newark. They offer the support that these students need to further their education so that they can one day provide for themselves and their families. The early access part of the program plants the desire and the high school advising program provides the structure to make it a reality, add some funds from the last dollar grant program and you have a optimal situation where you are providing a dream and then the tools to make it a reality. I can see the numbers change in the graduation rate and the college going rate. They are making a difference that is not just anecdotal. As a donor, I think that it is important to see that your dollars are accomplishing actual results. I love the personal stories in the newsletters, but the numbers tell the real story. I also feel that they use all of my donations in the most prudent way. Not one dollar is wasted, and I see maximum results. A Call to College is certainly a GREAT Nonprofit.
