Review for IndyKids, New York, NY, USA
My 6th and 7th grade English Language Learner students use IndyKids newspaper every week. The articles are interesting, relevant, and accessible to my students. It really makes a difference for my students to know that kids like them know about these topics and can write about them. And, it is SOOO wonderful for my students when they have their own writing and letters published in IndyKids. To see their own name and ideas in print makes my students proud. IndyKids inspires my students to read and write more, and provides a venue for the voices of young people like my students.
