Before a recent tour of a Boys and Girls Club in Denver, I was under the impression that a club was just a spot that kids should go to to stay out of trouble. After seeing the programs and things the kids get involved in inside the club, I can say it's far more than that. Kids have the opportunity to extend and expand on what they learn in school from professionals in youth development. It's really special - kids are working on paintings in the art room and doing their homework at computers, and making friends. It's a fabulous opportunity for Denver kids and Everyone should set up a time to tour a club.
