Review for Wilderness Works Inc, Atlanta, GA, USA
Wilderness Works helps young inner city children through nurture, experiential education and wilderness adventure to discover the life changing wonder of the world.
We do so by building relationships over the course of a year of weekend experiences, day trips, summer camps and week long expeditions. The children achieve character points that help in the selection process. What we are learning is that nature, nurture and the outdoors are still wonderful keys for opening up the mind, heart and soul of a child.
One day as I hiked on the Belt Line with some of the Wilderness Works kids; I held the hands of two sisters about 6 and 8. It was a beautiful spring day. I had on one of those "Life Is Good" T shirts. The 8 year old looked at me with the biggest smile and stated "Life is good isn't it?" !
