Grassroot Soccer is an incredible organization that works at the interface of community health and epidemiology. Leveraging their position within various communities of sub-Saharan Africa, GRS works at a grassroots level (no pun intended) to affect a positive change in the lives of young people. The organization itself is a dynamic, fast-paced and inspirational community - driven by an interdisciplinary team of passionate and hardworking individuals. It was a pleasure to volunteer for GRS and I continue to glean new insights from my experience even now, years later.
