Review for Dogs on Deployment, Escondido, CA, USA
Have been volunteering with Dogs on Deployment for almost 2 years now. I find it a service that is greatly needed and one that is so not known by those we serve. I enjoy meeting people and telling them about all the ways we help service personnel and their pets. If you've ever seen 1 reunion video, you know that what we do makes a difference. It's important. It's needed. We validate peoples feelings that their pets matter. Pets make our lives more whole. If someone is willing to put their life on the line for my freedom, I'm willing to help them come home to everyone they love.

My first volunteer experience for DoD was at the Army Ten-Miler Expo. Fabulous turnout. Well organized. Think this is an awesome organization. I'm behind it 110%. Great worthy cause. As a former Army brat, I never had to leave behind an animal but can't imagine how hard it must be for some service personnel.
