I had an awe inspiring experience with Youthlinc this past year. Youthlinc is a great organization which encourages teens to become life long humanitarians by encouraging them to serve in their community for eighty or more hours. I was able to get over one hundred hours worth of service because of Youthlinc. They encouraged me to do what I can in the area I live in. As a reward for having done so many hours of service in our communities, teens are able to travel to a foreign country to make a positive influence.
I traveled with our Cambodia trip and the best part of the whole trip were the people. You get to see those you are helping out with and know you are making a difference. It is really cool to be able to say I did service with a humanitarian group to a foreign country, but in reality, Youthlinc has helped me become more aware of the needs that aren't being met in my community.
The mentors and youth leaders that go on this trip are wonderful to work with. Youthlinc has made a humanitarian out of me.
