Review for Mother Seton Regional High School, Clark, NJ, USA
I have been on the English Department faculty of Mother Seton for a decade--and at colleges and universities in the past.
For fifty years--Mother Seton is celebrating its Golden Anniversary this year--this school has nurtured and inspired young girls to “academic excellence and Seton spirit,” its slogan. The emphasis is on each girl achieving her personal best in classes while she has an extraordinary range of activities, events, sports, and service projects in which to participate or, if she wishes, to lead. Faculty and administration are dedicated, and the entire community is close. Because enrollment is all female, the girls seem to focus on their own achievements, friends, and fun to a greater degree.
Successful results are shown in college admissions (100% of the class has gone to college for several years); college scholarships and aid; successful careers and lives after college; and alumnae who speak warmly of high school memories and send their own children to Mother Seton. This is faith-based education at its demonstrated best.
