I have known German Shepherd Safe Haven for many years. I was given guidance to what I needed to do to adopt a German Shepherd into my home. The guidance was in the form of how to take good care of my dog. How my house and yard was to be set up for good care once my dog came to me. I also supplied references for German Shepherd Safe Haven to contact to make sure I was a good candidate to adopt one of their dogs.
I am the owner of two very, very precious German Shepherds from the German Shepherd Safe Haven. I love my two babies so much and am so glad that they did so much checking so that I was paired with the perfect dogs for me.
I feel like part of their family. I am able to call German Shepherd Safe Haven if I have any questions. I am involved in picnics they have and news letters they offer.
I couldn't be happier with the care that was given to me and my two babies.

I wish I could give more than five stars to German Shepherd Safe Haven. I have been around dogs my whole life and never seen an organization like GSSH and the care they give to not only the shepherds but also to the foster homes as well as the permanent homes these dogs go to. Tom and Jen not only find the perfect home for the shepherds but take the time to make sure the family is happy as well. As an adoptive dog owner from GSSH, I have had the opportunity to call anytime I needed advise about something or just wanted to thank them for the most perfect dog anyone could ever love. Aiden has been a gift from God for us. He has helped me get through a very hard time in my life when I lost my father. The human animal bond was never stronger as it was during this time. Aiden knows my feelings without me saying a thing. He is incredible.
I would recommend GSSH to anyone who wants the perfect companion for life. It will be a process to adopt your new baby, but you and your new dog will be forever grateful.

We were looking to adopt a rescue dog after losing our loving Lab after 13 years. We met German Shepherd Safe Haven on the Internet and read the story about their history and were really intrigued about their mission. After contacting them we found a group of volunteers that are willing to work with people to find a perfect match between the rescued dog and adoption family. We met the perfect dog, completed the adoption process and now have the best new family member.
