Our family saw one night on the local news that a place named Big Dog Ranch Rescue had been chosen by Florida Power and Light Company to receive a full electrical make-over to help reduce electric costs within the facility. Having recently lost our beloved Golden Retriever my husband and I decided to check out Big Dog Ranch's website to see if any of their pups caught our eye. Of course, there were several so we filled out the application and the facility soon called to make an appointment for our visit there. Once there, we visited with three (3) different German Shepherd pups, settling on our soon-to-be new family member, Callie. While there, we noticed volunteers scurrying around walking dogs and playing with dogs, obviously loving every minute of their time spent with the pups and we were so very impressed with the personal attention spent on each dog and how happy all of the rescues were...like they knew they had been saved and given a second chance at life. Our Callie has been the very best addition to our family and she truly rescued us as she helped us transfer our feelings from our Golden to her without ever shadowing our memories in the least. We have had several communications with Big Dog Ranch Rescue since that time and in fact, have become monthly donors as it is truly a unique and blessed place for rescue pups to be until they can be found by their adoptive families. We truly love Big Dog Ranch :)
