Review for LOST & FOUND HORSE RESCUE FOUNDATION INC, Reston, VA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

Lost and Found Horse Rescue Foundation, Inc. was founded in 1999 by Mr. Robert Truland and his wife, Mrs. Mary Truland. LFHR is a 501c3 non-profit horse rescue. The facility is located in Maryland. Their mission is to rescue, rehabilitate, retrain, and find loving new homes for equines who have been abused and neglected.

Currently, they have 22 horses and 41 donkeys in their care. Some are available for adoption, others are in rehab or training and will need time before they can be adopted. Potential adopters must go through an adoption screening process as they do their best to match horses to new homes and want these animals to have SAFE LOVING FUTURES!

Their animals come from a variety of places including Animal Control, auction kill pens, and owner surrenders. They are always looking for financial support as the costs of rescuing equines and maintaining them for long periods of time while they search for the ideal home adds up!

Their strength is in their success in placing equines in forever homes. They do this by their outstanding rehab work and assessing the equines and potential adopters to ensure a good long term match.
