Review for Stephen Center Inc, Omaha, NE, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been involved with the Stephen Center for approximately 2 years and I am courrently on the board of directors. I have all the employees at the Stephen Center and have been extremely impressed their abilities, their character and their commitment to helping people. The people who work and volunteer at the Center are it's real strenght. I have also work with the Stephen Center in the anaylsis, planning and implementation of their Trift Store and have found their work ethic to be outstanding. I look forward to working with the Stephen Center to help improve or hopefully build a new emergency shelter for the homeless.

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

bring up their new thrift store and seeing clients from the Stephen Center get jobs and the store which will hopefully help them with their personnal lives.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

would find strong fund raising people who were connected to the influencial people in the community

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

The commitment and the compassion of the people who work and volunteer at the Stephen Center

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

very commited and passionate about their work at the Center

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

build a new emergency shelter for it's clients

Ways to make it better...

my experience was great

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

are raising capitol to build a new emergency shelter. Our shelter is very old.

One thing I'd also say is that...

the Stephen Center emergency shelter and Drug Treatment center provide very important services to our community.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

About every week

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

2006

Role:  Board Member & I have spent time volunteering at the center and observing Hero program classes to better understand how the shelter operates.
