Review for The Art of Yoga Project, Palo Alto, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

The Art of Yoga project has taken the concept of mission and vision to a new level of inspired healing. Art of Yoga takes a very creative approach to helping traumatized adolescent girls to heal with a gentle but challenging Yoga practice. Services begin immediately upon incarceration, extending throughout incarceration and after as these young girls return to their families and communities. The services include a wonderful Yoga practice and a committed Mentoring Program. Each girls participating in these services manifests benefit.......

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

YFES' continued work with the girls both incarcerated and post-incarceration. Partnering with this wonderful agency has enhanced all services offered by our organization and all other organizations.

Review for My New Red Shoes, PALO ALTO, CA, USA

Rating: 5 stars

This wonderful organization has provided a beautiful message to the young girls that participate in our program, Youth and Family Enrichment Services, G.I.R.L.S Program, servicing San Mateo County, that they have value and significance to the community, regardless of the economic, racial, and ethnic challenges that they face. YFES' serves the most disenfranchised population in SMC, and My New Red Shoes supports our message that each participant is unique, with special gifts to be celebrated!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

the beautiful smiles and expressions of delight and suprise when the program participants realize how they are valued.

If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...

host an open house to present the volunteers.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

their inclusiveness, warmth and care regarding the San Mateo County community.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...

warm, supportive, flexible and caring.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand. It would be wonderful if a child could enroll and be supported throughout the school year. This support could include a Halloween ccostume, Holiday shoes, birthday suprise, etc.

Ways to make it better...

we had had a chance to meet face to face.

In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...

continued funding.

One thing I'd also say is that...

I am grateful for My New Red Shoes and their continued support of our program participants
