The work that Seafarers' House does is amazing and very often underappreciated. They never forget the men and women that work on the seafaring vessels that come into Port Everglades every day. These folks are far from home and their families. Sometimes they don't know anyone other than their other crew members.

They provide a safe haven where they are welcome to worship regardless of their religion. They provide books and newspapers very often in their own language. They provide transportation for them to run errands. But most impressive is that they provide a Christmas gift to them during the holiday season that lets them know they are not alone. There is someone that is thinking of them and caring about them when they can't be with their own families.

The services they provide are priceless.
