Review for Multinational Exchange for Sustainable Agriculture (MESA), Berkeley, CA, USA
MESA is an inspiring organization. Their focus on intercultural exchange between sustainable ag interested farmers and small-scale sustainable farms abroad is extremely valuable. Almost anyone you speak with who has studied abroad speaks about it as a defining and value-forming experience in their lives. MESA offers this opportunity and then supports these Sustainable Ag Stewards far after their exchange ends. In a world where farmers are disappearing each day, relocating to urban environments for work, this organization gives me hope that our food will be in good hands in the future.
