Review for WriteGirl, Los Angeles, CA, USA
WriteGirl goes to the heart of young girls and gives them the confidence to raise their voices through creative writing. I have worked with WriteGirl for three years and am always surprised and incredibly proud of the stories and song and plays and poems that the girls of WriteGirl create. From the beginning of each season to the end in the Spring you see these girls stand taller, speak louder and add boldness and honesty to their writing. I would say in my three years working with the girls, I learn as much from them as I hope they learn from me! WriteGirl is a gift, and I am envious that it didn't exist when I was a teen and thrilled that it exists now and that I am a part of it!
