My mom happens to be a member of a great non profit organization called Mary Queen of all Nations Missionary Alliance in Dover, New Jersey. She is a nurse and is geared to charitable work. However, I cannot fathom the great deal of charitable duties she is accomplishing by not only helping mail collected and donated items like reading materials, pencils, used vestments for priests, religious articles, etc. not only to the Philippines but also to other countries in need of such. She told me that her friend Merla shops at Staples whenever they have items on sale and practically begs for some free and unused items or overstock items like notebooks and paper which the poor kids of impoverised places need. She even gets some samples of vitamins and other medications to send to the sick and infirm. She tells me that nobody gets paid for the work they do and even contributes herslf to the expenses that are encountered by mailing those articles to foreign countries. That is my mom. All for the sake of charity!
