Review for Rwandagirls, MEDINA, WA, USA
RGI is run by a great leadership team. Soozi, Shal and Peter are incredibly dedicated and have been very effective securing capital for the project. Their goodwill is highly contagious.
These are all the standard platitudes, so let me be more specific. I am a medical doctor and did a medical volunteerism side project treating one of the RGI students here in the US. The student had a chronic leg infection and was going to have to have her leg amputated in Rwanda. Soozi recruited the volunteer medical team and flew the student to the US, AND took her into her home for 4 months during her multiple surgeries and treatments. She drove her to therapy every day during that time as well! Because of Soozi's determination to get her treatment in the United States that 17 year-old girl was able to keep her leg and it is now completely healed. Soozi's drive and goodwill literally saved her student from losing her leg at age 17.
