The chills I get each year when I see the i-tri girls cross the finish line of their culminating super-sprint triathlon shows me that my ongoing support of this worthy East End program is worthwhile. Taking at-risk middle school girls and transforming them is what i-tri does best.

Working with just a shoestring budget, i-tri effectively touches and inspires the lives of East End middle school-aged girls through the sport of triathlon. I am honored to serve on i-tri's Board of Directors.

Talk about a feel good! There is nothing like seeing the faces of these girls as they succeed, whether its learning how to swim in open water, completing a triathlon for the first time, or simply taking part in an empowerment exercise. I wish I'd had this type of program when I was a tween. I'm looking forward to seeing the i-tri girls organization grow and branch out into the rest of Long Island soon.
