With everything going on in the world right now, The MY HERO Project is like a calm, inspiring place to go, to remember that there really is great stuff going on in the world! There are so many people and organizations to celebrate, that we would never know about without this great global online project. I am so grateful to have been able to work with the MY HERO TEAM and teachers and students all around the world through facilitating the MY HERO Global Learning Circles. IEARN has been a great partner with www.myhero.com for more than a decade. The first time I went to an IEARN global conference was in Slovakia in 2012 representing The MY HERO Project. The amazing teachers and students gathered there from all over the world participating in workshops, sharing their cultures, communities and passion for learning made my husband and 12 year old daughter and myself believe that the world would indeed be ok.
I facilitate The MY HERO Global Learning Circles with Barry Kramer from IEARN. I always say we bring the world into your classroom and your class into the world. It always proves to be an uplifting, inspiring experience for all concerned and gives the next generations a better understanding of the world beyond their border. Thanks IEARN for all you do and for all those you reach.

I have watched The MY HERO Project grow over the past 17 years. Through the mentorship they provided to my daughter since the age of 6, she has now become an accomplished filmmaker and is currently in the Director's Lab at the Canadian Film Centre. The MY HERO Learning Circles have reached thousands of students and hundreds of teachers around the world working together to define and share who inspires them and who the heroes in their country are. In a world that sometimes seems so disconnected, the connections and friendships that are created by kids working together online and in their classrooms is invaluable. Thank you MY HERO for all you have done and continue to do.
