First Chance Foundation is a wonderful organization serving the abused and abandoned children in the community. They have multiple programs from filling a basic need for children in shelters to providing them special moments that will last them a life time. They are truly angels on earth watching over God’s children.

I have been volunteering for San Antonio Pets Alive for 18 months. They are an amazing organization that puts the care and welfare of the animals first. They have a very specific mission of rescuing animals from the city shelter after the animals have run out of options from the public and other rescue groups. This approach has helped San Antonio go from a 30% live release rate to an 80% live release rate in less than 2 years. Among the many animals they rescue are bottle baby puppies and kittens, sick and injured dogs and cats. They believe all animals deserve a chance at a wonderful home and life.
They are a very good steward of money donated to them and look to the community to fill many needs so donations can be spent on the animals care. This organization has some of the most amazing staff and volunteers that work tirelessly to save lives. They are a joy and inspiration to be around.
