LMR
Review for Northend Jewish School, Seattle, WA, USA
We're grandparents of two students at SJCS, and we're so delighted with this school's focus on developing, in an age appropriate way, a sense of community and mutual responsibility. Children clearly embrace theses values and live them in their daily encounters with each other. As two of the three coauthors of a parenting book, "The Too Precious Child," we have written about the increasing pressure on children to compete for first place and first prize. Here's a school with a structured and demanding program that reserves its highest praise for helpfulness and kindness. Pretty impressive! Louisa Rose Henry S. Berman, M.D.

The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
well versed in a system of conflict resolution that gives children very specific steps for dealing with the usual fights and arguments. Now, if the rest of the world could learn this, we'd all be better off.
