Review for Partners in Torah, Passaic, NJ, USA
My experience with Partners in Torah began more than a decade ago. I went to a PIT Tuesday night learning session not knowing what to expect. There was a room full adults - more than 20 pairs - learning various topics, all related to Judaism. What stands out in my mind is a middle aged woman learning the Aleph Beis with Aleph Beis blocks. Incredible how eager and determined she was to learn the Aleph Beis. While I have had several partners, the one I cherish the most is my current study partner. Larry and I started learning together in February 1999 over the phone, and we maintain a weekly learning session on Saturday nights, immediately following the conclusion of Shabbos. Yes, it’s been more than 10 glorious years of Torah study. When I started learning with Larry, he was not completely Sabbath observant and wasn’t davening or putting on Tefillin on a daily basis. Through his hard work and determination, he has blossomed and grown into a respectable ben Torah, with a lovely wife and 2 beautiful children. His home personifies Torah and service of Hashem in every way. This is what Partners in Torah is all about.
