We are the proud owners of Asti, daughter of Katie and Courage handled by "DogLiberator", an organization devoted to saving dogs in general and the mishandled, misunderstood, Border Collies specifically. We reside on Long island, with an acre of property and have the luck of another Border Collie, "Diana" , now 16 years old. We saw a video on "Dog Liberator site" ,showing puppies and my wife elected to fly down and get one as she was so moved. There, we were screened appropriately for compliance of responsibility to having such a high energy ,smart bundle of life, "Asti and my wife ,Margaret flew back the same day from Florida . It became clear that the handler who helped save and rear the pups was dedicated. Lynne Deal ,was giving her "Asti" to us ,and found homes for Asti's brothers and sisters,of which we see from time to time thriving, living strong lives with their owners, on the social media. "Dog Liberators" founded by Giesele Veilleux ,has set up volunteer airplane pilots to rescue these high intelligent animals found in backyard breeders and high kill shelters of many states. Her organization finds
suitable owners, rather friends for a long and rewarding relationship of providing a nurturing enviornment to saving animal's lives, Border Collies or other breeds, mixed or not, They want to live too!
