Review for Partners in Torah, Passaic, NJ, USA
I have been a Partner inTorah for over 8 years. I come from a Reform Judaism background. I live in a small city, Pensacola in western Florida. There are at most 100 active members in my Conservative Shul. I study almost every week by phone with my partner in NYC. The experience has been fantastic. My Partnerrs knowledge is excellent and our weekly study sessions are always interesting. I have grown in understtanding and knowledge as my partner and I dig into the Parsha every week. Truly it is one of the best parts of my week and the 8 years have flown buy. I look forward to at least onther 25 years witht he same partner. I have recommended PNP to others and so far they all have the same fantastic experience. A friend of mine lives in Panama City Panama, and he too studies with Parnters in Torah. It is incredible how much time and effort the partners put into preparing for our weekly session. I love that they call me at home. To study with PNP is free. I don't recall every being solicitated for a donation. I have been so pleased that I have donated strongly to partners in Torah so others can grow and learn.Naturally I give PNP 5 stars!

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...
My Partner is like having my own personal rabbi. It is a give and take learning experience and his preperation and discussion is like listen to the most enthralling dvar torah every week. I wish my local rabbi was so good. And my local rabbi is great.
The kinds of staff and volunteers that I met were...
All of the staff members are fantastic. I don't have much contact with them. They do call occaisionally to check onmy progress and to see if I need anything.
If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...
Reach more people on a one to one basis. And I understand that they reach everybody the serve on a one to one basis. Or perhaps they couldhave a TV show with different lecturers every week.
Ways to make it better...
Ican't imagine it being better, unless my study partner lived in my town and we met weekly in person. Many others have this option because unlike me, they do not live in the boondocks.
In my opinion, the biggest challenges facing this organization are...
Having a larger number of Jews aware fo the fantastic free service Partners in torah provides. They need better marketing/exposure.
One thing I'd also say is that...
This is an organization that makes the life of every Jew it serves better. they provide food for the soul. I think that many of us don't even realize we are hungry for the nourishment Partners in Torah provides.
