Review for Ronald Mcdonald House Charities Of New England Inc, Providence, RI, USA
We discovered on June 15 2013 that our son was admitted to the Massachusetts General Proton Therapy center in Boston. This was good news as his disease is expected to respond very well to this treatment. But it was bad news as well because we do not live in Boston. I started investigating staying with friends in the area and at local hotels. Our friends are more than an hour away, without traffic, and the hotel options were not possible based on the expense.
Thank goodness for Home Away Boston. They provided us an apartment, free of charge, for the duration of Michael's treatment. This was a life saver. It was convenient to the hospital and the local shuttles and a very comfortable home for our six weeks in Boston. It helped reduce the burden and stress of being away from home for this time and allowed us to relax and, despite undergoing treatment, enjoy our time in Boston.
I would like to recognize Home Away Boston as a first rate charitable organization worthy of any donations and support. This is the first time we have had to rely on a charity, and are very thankful it was there. It is not clear how we would have been able to complete this treatment without their support. If you have supported Home Away Boston, then, we thank you very much.
