Review for WJCS-Westchester Jewish Community Services, White Plains, NY, USA

Rating: 5 stars

I have been on the Board of Directors at WJCS for about 12 years. It has been an honor and a privilege for me to serve as the Chair of the Children, Youth and Families committee. We observe first-hand the amazing programs that are offered to children and youth, ranging in ages from infants thru college, who most often are part of low-income families with multiple needs. The services provided have always been exceptional, but they are even more so during the Covid-19 pandemic. Westchester county is so fortunate to have a gem like WJCS!

Rating: 5 stars

This is an extraordinary agency. It offers an amazing and professional range of services for infants through seniors. In the professional work that I do, I am eager to refer clients to WJCS' wonderful programs, especially for children. The Westchester Jewish community is most fortunate to have WJCS in its midst!

I've personally experienced the results of this organization in...

its incredible services to children and youth at risk in the Westchester.

What I've enjoyed the most about my experience with this nonprofit is...

its professional, caring, quality staff..it is simply top-notch in its excellence and dedication.

If this organization had 10 million bucks, it could...

Expand its current programs and develop ones in the planning stages that have had to be put on hold due to finances. Staff would not have to be so focused on raising funds to survive.

How frequently have you been involved with the organization?

One time

When was your last experience with this nonprofit?

Role:  Volunteer & I am on the Board of Directors, and also on a Steering Committee for a project that is a collaboration between BJENY and WJCS. The mental health consultants for the program work for WJCS and they are incredible..
