I have volunteered at the Arizona Humane Society for many years. I train new volunteers, assist in pet adoptions, work special events and foster underage/underweight animals. It is important to give back to your community, and advocating for those who cannot speak for themselves is vitally important. It is very rewarding, as well. There are plenty of tasks that those interested can do, from being directly involved with the animals to performing administrative tasks. The only requirements are a love for animals and a desire to help.
