Review for Deep Springs International, Grove City, PA, USA
Deep Springs continues to do the difficult task of bringing safe water to rural Haitians. Now that the emergency relief efforts after the hurricane and introduction of cholera have been completed, Deep Springs remains committed to fighting the ongoing water crisis in Haiti. Cholera is being called a chronic emergency which will require long-term commitments to finding a solution. The Deep Springs' model of household chlorination is a key component of that strategy.

Review for Deep Springs International, Grove City, PA, USA
My company donated to Deep Springs immediately after the earthquake in Jan 2010. We were very impressed with the way that Deep Springs leveraged their presence on the ground in Haiti to spring into action in an emergency response mode. They used their simple concept of household water treatment to provide safe water to thousands of Haitians in the areas hardest hit by the earthquake. After the cholera outbreak in Dec 2010 Deep Springs responded by providing chlorine to over 2,000,000 Haitians. Since chlorine is both the prevention and the cure for cholera this program saved many lives in the wake of the cholera outbreak. Deep Springs is extremely dedicated to providing ongoing programs to fight cholera and other waterborne diseases for the long term.
