Review for A New Hope Animal Foundation, Loomis, CA, USA
This organization started out with good intentions and the intentions are still good...but they treat their volunteers like crap. It's also unclear now who they're helping, Placer County, Rocklin or their own foster dogs, seems like it's less and less than they used to do. They make it difficult to volunteer, because it's extremely unorganized. While you'll get some good information and resources from them you'll walk away feeling used. The rules of how/what you're supposed to do when you're given new roles aren't given to you so if you do something you think is right, and the director thinks otherwise prepare to have your head ripped off, if you ask for rules/guidelines on paper so you know what to do you won't be given any. If you spend any of your own money, or god forbid foster a dog - you'll be paying for everything yourself, despite being told you'd be reimbursed. Where their money goes, who knows?
