My Nonprofit Reviews
Review for Hearing Health Foundation, New York, NY, USA
I started donating to the Hearing Health foundation back in 2012 when I became aware of their Hearing Restoration Project. I had never before seen such an organized effort toward curing hearing loss, so I was excited to be able to contribute towards such an important dream of mine.
Since donating, I have occasionally helped with promoting their fundraising events. All of them have been great successes and it has been gratifying to see that so many people want to see hearing loss cured in the future. I also like how they regularly have lectures and interviews with scientists participating in the Hearing Restoration Project. It's always nice to hear about their progress and see their research moving forward.
If I had to make changes to this organization, I would...
I would focus exclusively on deafness research and curing hearing loss, rather than prevention and education. I think they should have kept their original name Deafness Research Foundation. I think it gives a more focused impression than the more broad "Hearing Health."
